I am a pharmaceutical creative director. For 20 years I have built brands and created distinctive campaigns making important connections with customers in the healthcare arena.


I bring energy.  A leader of creative talent and brand possibilities, a visual artist at the core, I firmly believe inspiration leads to innovation and aesthetic discoveries. The Hal Lewis Group, Inc. "Growing Greatness"  Executive Creative Director for 15 months, responsible for all aspects of agency creative services. Managed staff of 12 (7 art, 5 copy plus freelance). Provided solid creative leadership, producing effective creative solutions in challenging times. Member of Executive Leadership Team (3 yrs) contributing to all agency business decisions – April 2008 to July 2009

Creative Director, Art for 3 years prior. A hands-on executive, excelling in a fast-paced, creative environment overseeing art directors, design studio, motion graphics and budding interactive group requiring heightened collaboration and multi-tasking capabilities. Highlights include simultaneous positioning with new campaign launches for 6 brands, and hiring one exceptional Studio Manager elevating studio services – April 2005  to March 2008

The more recent 6 years as VP, Associate Creative Director, Art (out of a tenure of 11 years). engaged and contributed on brands in the areas of neurology, oncology, dermatology, cardiology and biologics for clients including Novartis, Aventis, and Janssen. One highlight was developing the Lamisil "Digger the Dermatophyte" campaign for Novartis with our IPG network consumer partner, Deutsch, Inc. – Aug 1993 to April 2005


Lewis & Gace, Inc. "Crystallized Product Promise" This small 1988 start-up with a unique blend of domestic and international experience sped to being named the fastest-growing agency in 1990 by MedAdNews. No doubt the result of an intensive new business drive of 40 capabilities presentations in 4 months and high profile accounts. With only 20 employees at the time, I (as everyone) contributed to all creative pitches. A pivotal experience for me was art directing the Losec/Prilosec brand developing powerfully branded visuals leading to today's familiar "Purple Pill" – Aug 1989 to Aug 1993


Continuing Studies  In 1990, new desktop publishing tools put previously outsourced creative services right on an Art Director's desk. Select evening courses at Pratt, plus self-motivated research and training kept me current with new technology which enriched my service to clients. I also attended SVA for a course on the "Team Approach" which enriched my collaboration with copy partners. 1991-1992


Art Institute of Philadelphia  Associate Degree, Visual Communications 1985 – Dean's List. Winner of national student logo competition for Lipton International. Selected by AIPH faculty to team with copywriters from the Charles Morris Price School of Advertising and Public Relations to develop and present a marketing plan proposal, with visuals, for The Reading Terminal Market, with compensation.

Judging jury participant for RX Show and HCMA In-Awe Awards.

Involvement benefiting young creatives  Art Institute of Philadelphia Student Portfolio Reviewer. Conducted an after-school program with Philadelphia Kid's Club to inspire creativity, while producing artwork for corporate display. Primary Division (K-3) Coach for Odyssey of the Mind, a national creativity competition.
